About Us

The Ambassadors have been a fixture in swing-era dance music in the Chapel Hill community since 2003. We are affiliated with the United Church of Chapel Hill and we perform at community events throughout the Triangle area. Please visit our Facebook page for more photos and clips.

The ensemble specializes in performing arrangements the timeless swing music of such great Big Band leaders as Count Basie, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Harry James, Woody Herman, Les Brown, Stan Kenton and many others.

Audiences range from seniors to university students, who book the big band year-after-year to play for their semester-end parties.
